As part of the Clerkenwell Design Week 2017 festivities we ran a badge designing and activity for Altro showrooms. We brought our badge making machine along with a selection of different papers, a wide range of pens (everything from fine liners for detailed design to brush pens for brush calligraphy) as well as lettering and washi tape in enough colours and patterns to account for every taste. We provided some templates for inspiration, but with lots of designers and architects in attendance there was no shortage of creativity! (Click on event title to see more examples).
We loved this pool slider customising activity for River Island’s 2017 High Summer press day. We provided a tempting selection of embellishments for guests to customise their sliders with; vintage brooches, studs, pom poms, fringing, googly eyes, patches, lettering. All set for some summer pool action now…
For River Island’s High Summer ’16 press day we provided a badge making activity. It’s a super easy and quick thing to make. Guests could choose from a selection of backgrounds (from newspaper: we found La Monde and Financial Times worked best, to graphic prints – we discovered an alternative use for those mindfulness colouring books!) We also had a choice of pressed flowers, to tie in with the event’s summer floral trend we used lots of summer brights including hydrangeas, marigolds, violas and fuchsias. After a few minutes of selecting and arranging, it was simply a case of pressing down the handle of the badge making machine – and voila, a pretty pin badge ready to wear for an instant splash of colour.
We organised a rainbow flower crown making activity for a Claire’s as part of their Rainbow Loom press day held at London Zoo. To tie in with the rainbow theme we used some brightly coloured, fresh flowers including pink, orange and yellow roses, red carnations and we even found some blue blooms . People chose their flowers and with a little help from the team made flower crowns and garlands.
Our knicker customising activity is a great one for hen parties. We provide the knickers (just email us sizes in advance) and then get stuck into a sumptuous selection of trimmings and embellishments including lace, ribbons, bows, mini pom poms, fringing and tassels as well as lettering and sew on patches. Have fun decorating and customising, creating a unique and bespoke pair of pants! Only the most basic of sewing skills required (although there we bring fabric glue for those who prefer). It’s a brief encounter you’ll never forget..

The best thing about flower crown making parties (apart from the fun in making them of course) is the brilliant opportunity for some stunning selfies! The 2 hour activity includes basic tuition on preparing the wire ‘crown’, choosing from a selection of seasonal flowers, styling ideas and building up the foliage and flowers – keep on adding for a bigger, more dramatic result. When we source the flowers, we go for what is seasonal and looks good on the day, but do let us know if there is any requests for specific themes or colour scheme. By the end of the flower crown making session everyone is ready to carry on partying wearing the prettiest floral accessories in town!
