There is a growing trend these days for hen activities, and if paint balling or go-carting don’t fit the bill doing something creative might! We love a crafty hen party, and our most popular for hens are vintage jewellery making, fascinator making, flower crown making, knicker customising and biscuit icing.
Hens can choose from our list of party workshops and add their own twist if they wish. We recently ran a great vintage jewellery making hen do inspired by the iconic Audrey Hepburn and the hens all paid homage in LBDs! We made sure there were vintage pearls galore for the girls to play with as well as lots of other gems including brooches, charms, cameos and beads. Everyone got to grips with the basic techniques and then started on their necklaces or bracelets whilst drinking tea from vintage china teacups and eating homemade cake.
Fascinators have also been popular workshops for hen parties as people can make their finished headpieces to wear at the big day. At the moment vintage is a popular style with lots of netting, feathers and or flowers, but people can choose which ever style they wish.
Biscuit icing is fun too – one hen party kicked off their day with the biscuit icing workshop, decorating ginger bread men shaped biscuits, we had a bride and groom, a scuba diver, most of the cast of the Village People, possibly the first ever gingerbread man in a onesie (!) and a few rather naughty ones too. Great fun, then the creations were served later on for an afternoon tea.
